Our Founding of The Annie Gardner Foundation
In 1941, respected Mayfield businessman Ed Gardner sought to create a lasting tribute to his wife, Annie. He was deeply inspired by Annie's unwavering, quiet dedication to helping the poor and needy in their community. He envisioned an organization that would carry on her mission for generations to come.
He established The Annie Gardner Foundation as a privately funded non-profit, creating a permanent resource that could offer stability and hope. From its very first day, the foundation’s purpose has been to provide a dignified and compassionate helping hand to our neighbors during their most difficult times.
